Case Scenario:
A 35-year-old male resident of Baikunthpur, Chhattisgarh, presents to the emergency department with a 5-day history of high-grade fever (temperature not measured), associated with chills. He has developed altered sensorium for the past 2 days and reduced urine output for 1 day.
Examination:
On evaluation noted to have Ring-like structures in RBCs in the peripheral smear.
In view of drop in sensorium, patient was intubated for airway protection. Further investigations were collected (as follows)
